The purpose of the visit was the cooperation between Kazakhstan and Canada in geology. The Kazakhstan side was represented by the Chairman of the Committee of Geology and Subsoil Use Bazarbai Nurabaev, and the Canadian side was represented by Mr. Adam Barbolet, the Deputy Ambassador for Economic Affairs, and Mr. Gaziz Shotanov, the Advisor for Business Development.

Bazarbai Nurabaev informed the representatives of the Embassy of Canada on the work of the Committee of Geology and Subsoil Use, and plans for the future, these future plans include the adoption of the international standards system reporting reserves of solid minerals CRIRSCO, as well as the system management of the resources and reserves of hydrocarbons SPE-PRMS, and that it will be a milestone for the development of Kazakhstan’s exploration industry.
The Canadian side also will assist Kazakhstan in preparation of the exhibition stand at the prestigious international exhibition PDAC which annually takes place in Toronto (Canada), where the exploration industry of Kazakhstan will be presented.
